This Rangemaster Professional Deluxe 90 review starts with a timing problem. The Professional Deluxe 90 has been one of the most popular 90cm range cookers in Britain for years: a modern, square-cut cooker with an eight-function oven, a tall fan oven and a five-burner hob with a proper wok burner. But in October 2026 Rangemaster launched a new generation of the Professional Deluxe, and both versions are now being sold at the same time.

So this page does two jobs. It reviews the dual fuel model you will find in most shops and on most retailer pages, code PDL90DFF, using Rangemaster’s own published specification. And it explains what is known about the new one, and why the difference matters for your warranty.

What you get: the Professional Deluxe 90 dual fuel (PDL90DFF)

From Rangemaster’s product specification and retailer listings:

  • Top left: a separate glide-out grill. A 2.3kW electric grill with full and half settings, in its own compartment, so you can grill and use both ovens at once. The grill pan slides out on a frame rather than sitting in a drop-down door.
  • Bottom left: a multifunction oven with eight functions, Rapid Response fast heat-up, catalytic side liners that absorb fat splashes, a programmable clock and Rangemaster’s Handyrack, a rack that hooks onto the door so the roasting tin comes out with it. Two flat shelves across seven shelf levels.
  • Right: a tall fan oven, with four flat shelves across nine shelf levels and a plate rack. Retailers list it at 67 litres.
  • On top: five gas burners. A 4kW multi-ring wok burner, a 3kW burner, two 1.7kW burners and a 1kW simmer burner, with single-handed ignition and semi-gloss cast iron pan supports.
  • Energy rating: A for both ovens.

Retailers disagree on the multifunction oven’s size: most list 73 litres (140 litres in total), while Euronics lists 79 litres. Either way it is large for a 90cm cooker. The cooker is 900mm wide, 604mm deep excluding handles (649mm with them), adjusts from 905 to 930mm to the hotplate, and Euronics lists it at 122kg.

Colours on the current Rangemaster pages are Cream, Cranberry, Black, Slate, Stainless Steel, White and Charcoal Black, all with chrome trim. An induction version, the PDL90EI, has the same oven layout with a five-zone induction hob; our induction range cooker guide covers whether that suits you.

What it is good at

A real multifunction oven on a 90cm range. Many 90cm cookers give you two fan ovens and leave it there. Eight functions on the left oven means you can use conventional top-and-bottom heat for cakes, base heat for a pastry case, or the grill element inside the oven for browning. For keen bakers that is the reason to choose it over a plain fan-oven range.

The tall oven. The right-hand oven runs the height of the cooker, with nine shelf levels. That is where the Professional design wins for big family cooking: a turkey on a low shelf with space above it, or four shelves of biscuits, or plates warming on the rack while the meal cooks next door. It is narrower than the left oven, so check your largest roasting tin and baking trays against it before you buy.

A hotter wok burner than many rivals. The 4kW multi-ring burner is a step up from the 3.5kW wok burner on the current Classic 110, and it is hot enough for a proper stir fry. The 1kW burner turns down far enough for a sauce or melting chocolate.

Easy cleaning where it counts. Catalytic liners on the multifunction oven burn off fat during normal high-temperature cooking, and the glide-out grill pulls the whole pan clear of the cavity.

Where it falls short

Five burners, not six. At 90cm you get five. If you regularly cook on six pans at once, you need a 100cm or 110cm range; our guide to what size range cooker you need helps you check whether the gap allows it.

No proving or storage drawer. The tall oven uses the space a drawer would take on the 110. Trays and tins need a home elsewhere in the kitchen.

A big electrical load. Rangemaster lists a maximum electrical load of 8.6kW for the dual fuel model. That needs a dedicated cooker circuit sized by a qualified electrician, which is not always there in a kitchen that had a gas cooker before. Get it checked before delivery day.

Running costs. Two large electric ovens cost more to heat than one compact oven. If you mostly cook for two, our range cooker running costs page shows what that means per hour.

Old or new: the October 2026 Professional Deluxe

Rangemaster’s warranty promotion terms list a “NEW Professional Deluxe (Launched October 2026)” and tell buyers to check with their retailer which version they are getting. The current collection page describes it in 90, 100 and 110cm, in induction or dual fuel, and names finishes including Stainless Steel, Bordeaux, Ivory and Misty Blue. New-generation product codes on Rangemaster’s site begin PRDLO, where the outgoing models begin PDL.

At the time of writing, Rangemaster had not published a full specification for the new 90cm dual fuel model, so we cannot tell you what has changed inside it. When the outgoing Classic was replaced in 2025, the update brought a new display, single-handed ignition and a larger grill; expect changes of that sort rather than a different cooker. We will update this review when the full specification is out.

Why it matters now: Rangemaster’s 5 year warranty promotion covers the new Professional Deluxe, not the older stock. To qualify you must buy between 1 September and 30 November 2026, take delivery by 28 February 2027, and claim within 28 days of delivery. If the five years matter to you, get the retailer to confirm the model code in writing before you pay. If they do not, the older PDL90DFF is a proven cooker and may be discounted as stock clears; it comes with the standard warranty, one year plus a second year when you register it.

Installation checks

  • A dual fuel cooker must be connected by a Gas Safe registered engineer. The PDL90DFF can be converted to LPG if you are off the gas grid.
  • The electric side needs its own cooker circuit; see the 8.6kW load above.
  • Leave room for the cooker to slide out for servicing, and check the floor and the delivery route can take a cooker of over 120kg.

Professional Deluxe 90 vs the alternatives

If you want the traditional look rather than the square Professional styling, the Classic Deluxe 90 also has a multifunction oven, behind arched doors. If you want two equal fan ovens and no multifunction, the plain Classic is simpler and cheaper. Our Rangemaster model overview walks through every collection, and our best 90cm range cookers page compares it with Stoves, Belling, Leisure and Smeg.

Our verdict

The Rangemaster Professional Deluxe 90 is the 90cm range for someone who bakes as well as roasts: the eight-function oven, the tall fan oven and the 4kW wok burner cover more kinds of cooking than most cookers this size. It is not for anyone who needs six burners or a storage drawer. The bigger decision this autumn is which generation to buy. Want the five-year warranty offer? Insist on the new model and get the code in writing. Happy with two years? Look for a good price on the outgoing PDL90DFF.

Frequently asked questions

How many burners does the Professional Deluxe 90 have? Five gas burners on the dual fuel model: a 4kW multi-ring wok burner, a 3kW burner, two 1.7kW burners and a 1kW simmer burner.

Does the Professional Deluxe 90 qualify for the 5 year warranty? Only the new generation launched in October 2026 does, if you buy by 30 November 2026, take delivery by 28 February 2027 and claim within 28 days of delivery. Older stock gets the standard warranty.

What size gap does the Professional Deluxe 90 need? The cooker is 900mm wide and 604mm deep excluding handles. Measure the gap at worktop height and at floor level, and allow for the side clearances in the installation guide.
